Businesses are required to adhere to the SARS Act and Regulations (as amended from time to time) and this service is extremely crucial to the success of a Business as mismanagement of funds can impair a Business to an extent that the Business could face financial ruin.

Effective Payroll Management and linking to financial processes are crucial to manage and control the flow of funds and budgeting (as per workforce planning).

Businesses make the mistake of not running an effective payroll system against updates and SARS regulations, which sees numerous Businesses face SARS audits. MJSC (Pty) Ltd. will ensure that your Business is compliant at all times and have an active Finance Control System through effective alignment with Payroll, thus in return ensuring no pay queries or disputes from employees (allowing them to focus on working).

Businesses preferring not to have the burden of SARS and Payroll matters, therefore outsourcing these services to MJSC (Pty) Ltd. at an affordable and cost-effective rate (see 3.13.6 below). With experience in Foreign Payrolls (e.g. Namibia, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, etc.), we can ensure that your Business comply with all needs.


  • Payroll System Audits – There are numerous alignments that must be done on a Payroll system for the Business, such as Tax Tables, ETI set up, ROE indicators, etc. MJSC (Pty) Ltd. will do an audit on your system and include a risk management report;
  • Payroll System Setup – Providers will always sell the program / system to you and additional charges will include the set-up of the system. MJSC (Pty) Ltd. will set up such systems against legislative stipulations;
  • Return of Earnings – Businesses are required to submit all ROE’s against a set factor on earnings annually from 01 April to 31 May. If you do not do this, it is recommended that you immediately give attention to this as it is compliance. MJSC (Pty) Ltd. will provide calculations and submission for the obtaining a Letter of Good Standing (required to do business).
  • Payroll vs Finance - MJSC (Pty) Ltd. will assist Businesses with the set-up and linking of GL Exports / Automated and Reconciliations.
  • SARS Submissions - MJSC (Pty) Ltd. will provide the Business with review, audit and consolidation of all information required for the Bi-Annual Submissions to SARS as well as the Tax Year End Submissions annually (IRP5’s) as to ensure that the Business remains compliant and supports Employee Submissions / Declarations.
  • Outsourcing of Payroll Functioning - MJSC (Pty) Ltd. provides the system and professional service of payroll, to which Businesses do not need to concern themselves with the SARS stipulations and employee submissions. MJSC (Pty) Ltd. will process payroll as per Business requirements and deliver payslips to the Business 1 – 2 days prior to payday. Businesses that belong to a Bargaining Council will enjoy the benefit of MJSC (Pty) Ltd. managing payroll input, processing and submissions as per Main Agreement. Cost pertaining to management of Main Agreement stipulations and submissions will be R10 per employee extra. Excluded from outsourcing would be all reports and set-ups as per above.

Outsourcing of Payroll Functioning

MJSC (Pty) Ltd. provides the system and professional service of payroll, to which Businesses do not need to concern themselves with the SARS stipulations and employee submissions. MJSC (Pty) Ltd. will process payroll as per Business requirements and deliver payslips to the Business 1 – 2 days prior to payday.

Businesses that belong to a Bargaining Council will enjoy the benefit of MJSC (Pty) Ltd. managing payroll input, processing and submissions as per Main Agreement. Cost pertaining to management of Main Agreement stipulations and submissions will be R10 per employee extra.

Excluded from outsourcing would be all reports and set-ups as per above.
